BBT QUESTION VAGINALLY VS ORALLY

I took my temp this morning orally and it was 96.8 and then I immediately took it vaginally and it was 97.60.

Which one is more accurate? Brand new thermometer. I took 2 orals and 2 vaginal and the temperatures stayed consistent.

Hi, any internal temp method, vaginal or rectal, will give you a reading closer to your body's core temperature. When you're charting though it shouldn't make a difference as long as you always take it the same way. It is the difference from day to day during your cycle that you are looking for, the climb from ovulation and the drop before your period begins will show as long as you use the same method (and I'd use ths same thermometer too).

Thank you. My oral vs vaginal temps are DRASTICALLY different. I really must be a mouth sleeper. Today vaginal was 97.73 and oral was 97.20.

On the topic of bbt, I take my temperature orally. This month, I started exercising regularly. My temperatures are all over the place. Anyone else experience this? My temps are normally consistent with a clear shift after ovulation. Not this month.
