Good morning ladies,

I just have a small question which has me totally confused. Today is CD 8 for me, for the past 4 days my temp has dropped regularly:

CD4 - 97.3 - Held this temp from CD 2.
Cd5 - 97.1
CD6 - 96.9
CD7 - 96.6
CD8 - 96.4

So my question is, is this regular temp drop normal? I thought BBT was supposed to fluctuate (highs and lows) before ovulation.

It's normal. Sometimes it will fluctuate or just get lower each day because of progesterone decreasing & estrogen increasing. It can go either way xxx

It's normal. The temps you have to be concerned about are post-ovulation -- you want to make sure they stay up until AF comes (or your BFP!) and not erratic, and even then you sometimes have a dip in the middle of your luteal phase.

Thanks so much. My doctor has asked me to go for a scan to check for PCOS as I am struggling to lose weight and have erratic cycles, so i was wondering if the temps were another sign of PCOS.
