Beatles Baby Boy Or Police Baby Girl

Well, my favorite names for a boy and girl are based on songs from two very famous bands: The Beatles and The Police.

My favorite boy name is Maxwell Edison from the Beatles song "Maxwell's Silver Hammer" and my favorite girl name is Roxanne Leigh, the Roxanne portion from the Police song "Roxanne". The names have nothing to do with the context of either song, though I do like both songs!

What are your thoughts?

They both sound good to me and I'm all for naming a child after a song/person you like. One of the boy names on our list is Jonas from the Weezer song "My name is Jonas" (NOT from the Jonas brothers).

I think Maxwell Edison is super cute! Not too fond of Roxanne... but i do think the nn Roxie is cute! I like the idea of using names from a song!

I like both of them- and it's sweet they have a personal meaning. We gave Esmé the middle name Iris after the song.

I like the idea of using names that are traditionally boys' names for girls. Like Billie! I think that'd make a cute girls' name too

My husband (who's a huge Beatles nut--note, I said, "nut", not "fan" ) would appreciate VERY much that you didn't choose Jude! I think Maxwell Edison is very dear--Roxanne is a really nice one, too. Good choices!
