Bedtimes

What time to people put their 7 year olds to bed? Also at what age did you start letting them put themselves to bed?

Hannah went to bed at 8 at that age. She's almost 9 and we still read to her and give her kisses and tuck her in. I figure we'll do it until she doesn't want us to any longer. (she does shower on her own, gets dressed independently, brushes her hair etc.)

At that age Dec would have went to bed at about 8ish (although he probably didnt sleep for hours after) he is almost 10 now and he still likes me to tuck him in before he settles down, he will be in his own room watching tv or reading then he will shout for me when he is ready to be tucked in.

Mine are 8 & 9 I've just shifted their bedtimes up to 8/8.30 at 7 they were around 7pm x
