Been away a while, can't believe my baby is 1 in 2days

Hi all, sorry we've not been around recently, havent been feeling great. Think it's with everything that's happened over the last 12 months.

Ella turns 1 on saturday, in that time she's had 9 operations and in total 6months stay in hospital. She has JUST started taking oral feeds which is amazing after being nil by mouth for 6 months and is now crawling and trying to walk. Despite her horrendous start to life she's doing everything a child of Ella's age is expected to do and more. She has amazing fine motor skills, ahead of her age. Has got another op in 3wks time but after everything she's gone through i know she's a fighter and unbelievably strong.

Heres some pics of birth and now. Birth was only 5wks prem weighing 3lbs 4oz and now at almost 1 weighing 14lbs

What a long, hard road you have all been down! It's hard to think of words to give you.... I guess what I am feeling as I read this is: I'm so sorry you and your baby have had to go through so much hardship HERE'S TO SMOOOOTH SAILING from here on out. She is an inspiration, with her development ahead of schedule.... She is going to be (is) a spectacular person and you are an even more spectacular mom because of all you have endured and the wisdom it has given you. The world is a better place with the pair of you in it! Love to you.
