I've just plotted out my 'fertile days' according to one of the online ovulation calenders and placed it against my dh's rotation of home & away - we are only together for the five fertile days four times in the whole of 2008 (March, April Oct & Dec)

I really am going to need to some extra :dust:

Yet, I have a cousin who works 8 weeks away and 2 home, and guess what -his wife is expecting. They can't even control their five year old either :(

I shouldn't complain, we have a good life and I know it will happen when the time is right, 8 months isn't that long to be trying and I've not suffered the agony of a m/c but arrghh its just so soul destroying sometimes.

Thanks Diva. Why is it I can be rational with everyone else but not with myself when it comes to ttc? :hissy:

Know how you feel, love. My OH is away a lot. For the first 2 months we were trying we missed more or less every possible fertile day, only managing to BD on ovulation day one month.

I resent his job sometimes.

Good luck hun.. but dont rely on those calculators.. they arent reliable neither accurate..
:dust:

I hope not Suzan. I'm trying to see a 'silver lining'. If we don't get anywhere in the next cycle then really we don't have the opportunity to 'try' and maybe if we stop trying..... it's what everyone seems to say? But I think I might be kidding myself!

Hi Nic

I guess you cant go and visit your OH whilst he is away? :hugs:

:hugs: Nic as Suzan said those date may not be reliable, theres still every chance each month as long as you keep BDing :D

Keep BDing as often as you can and there's every chance your :bfp: is just around the corner.
:dust:

I'm sorry you're feeling this way. I hope you get your BFP soon :hugs:

Thanks everyone. The hugs really help. I know its being daft but I think the PMS makes it seem worse as well :muaha:. Its a right royal pain, but that's just life, obviously for whatever reason it's just not my time yet. The :witch: has now arrived so should be in full flight tomorrow and it's CD1 of cycle 9. Time to pay a visit to Ann Summers methinks ;)

Sorry so got you hun :hugs: Get to Primark too!! They've got some cracking fancy stuff and it's so cheap you can get a set for every BD session around O time!

Wishing you all the luck in the world chick, I hope you have your prayers answered real soon ...

Sending you loads of babydust :dust:
GOOD LUCK!!!

X

Have you looked into storing your OHs spermazoids just in case he's away and using a turkey baster (like they did on Coronation Street)... I don't know anything about it, but I believe it can be done?! Just a thought????
Have some of this in the meantime....

Sounds a bit extreme.
I dont know if its really possible to store them for a long period of time in a normal freezer.

Duz sound abit extreme...but I think desperate women do desperate things...I would certainly look into it if my DH was away alot...it's just like IVF really I suppose but DIY. But as I say, the research has to b done...maybe contact some sperm banks, they may hold it fo you????
Good luck with the time you have together in March.....:hi::hi::hi:
