I read somewhere that you receive bonuses as you would do as if u wernt on maternity. I've just gone onto the payslip area on the website for work and I ain't got mine.

Our months start on 20th and my notice wasn't received till 24th so I was Still employed by the company.

Can they legally withhold my bonus?

I'm not sure whether thats right or not but I know with my company I dont get bonuses as they are performance related and as I am not in I dont get one. Just wanted to add that in case it was the same for your company.... :)

I got this year's performance bonus in this month's wage packet. If you think you were expect it, for sure look into it and fight for it.

Ours aren't performance related.

I've just rung head office and they are looking into it as I still qualified coz I worked more than the 26 weeks needed to qualify.

You should definately still get it if it's part of your terms and conditions, they can't withhold it for you being on maternity leave. Keep on at HR and they will hopefully sort it for you.

I got a percentage of mine for the time I had been there before maternity leave. Ours is yearly, so I guess whatever the bonus would have been divided by 12 and i got 3 months worth, bit carp but better than nothing.

We get quarterly performance bonuses and I received mine.

I think I might need to get in contact with my company! Ours are quarterly performance related but it seems as though everyone else is getting theirs but me.... :(

Last time I took maternity I didn't get my increment as they are performance related and you have to have an interview etc... which I didn't as I was off. I am expecting the same this year tbh will be interested to hear what happens!

Our bonus runs from Sept-Dec because I'm a retail manager and that's our busiest time. Part of the terms and conditions of ours states I am not legible if on maternity leave. Sucks, but fair. Can you ask your HR dept. For written terms and conditions of your bonus?

Like annual leave you are classed as an employee even though you are on maternity leave so you should still qualify for any bonus.

Mine is annually, based on if the company hits its profit target which we are on taregt for as long as nothing messes up in the next 8-10 weeks. as i am going on maternity leave in november I will be getting 11 months worth.

I'd check your contract and staff handbook if your company produces one. I get mine annually, left in March so qualified for 1/4 the annual payment as per their maternity policy.
