Bentley was born on the 5th july at 3:26am, i was induced at 1pm on the 4th july at 38+5 due to pre-e and my blood pressure had gone up to 208/156, i was induced with a propess, it was similar to a tampon being inserted but it goes as close to the cervix as possible. After the propess was inserted i spent 45 mins on the CTG which was then repeated every 4hrs. Around 7:30pm i started getting agonising back pain and was given pain relief (cant remember what but it was 2 pills) they helped for about 45 mins and by half 8 the pain got worse but the pain was now in my tummy. The midwives in the hospital told me to walk around which didnt help, i then felt the need to go to the loo so i went but couldnt go, only when i stood up off the toilet i realised the propess had fallen out into the toilet 
and i also noticed my trousers were soaked from where my waters had broken.
The midwife checked me over and i was still 1-2cm dilated at 11pm, this time the pain was horrific so she gave me a pethidine injection, i then slept from 11:30pm until 1:15am when i woke in agony!! I was sick and crying but all i was told was that nothing is wrong with me and to sleep because i was disturbing other people on the maternity ward (which was nice to be told
) at 2:45am i had had enough and demanded they checked me over as the pain was so bad i felt like i was going to die. I was 5cm dilated so they took me down to labour and delivery. I straight away got on to the gas and air which didnt really take the pain away but took my mind off the pain. An anesatist came in to fit a canula and i was begging him for an epidural, he was explaining the risks when all of a sudden i had an urge to push, so the midwife checked me over and i was fully dilated and was told there was no time for an epidural because the baby would be here in 10mins.
I gave 5 big pushes and Bentley flew out weighing 7lbs 6, i had second degree tearing and needed stitches and lost 150ml of blood but was so worth it.
