So DH and I won't be TTC until he gets home from deployment but I've recently begun charting my temps and reading Taking Charge of Your Fertility so that I can understand my cycles better and have a greater understanding of when the best time to conceive will be once we start trying. I've always been irregular and charting has given me a lot of insight so far. I bought a BBT thermometer from Target and after a month it started giving me the same temps for five consecutive days, so I bought a new one and it seems to be giving me favorite temps as well. What's the best BBT thermometer to use? Any suggestions?

Have you tried changing the battery?

I've tried a couple, and I'm not in love with either of them enough to recommend them.

I just bought a cheaper one on amazon but I would encourage you to look on there because that way you can read all the reviews from buyers :) ! Mine is super simple (well, not simple in that it doesn't have the hundredths place for reading temps but...) it looks like a regular thermometer, it doesn't light up, it doesn't save your temps, so it's cheap, but I think the temps it gives me are very accurate. There are other ones on amazon that I saw that do light up (so you can read in the early morning hours what it's saying) that save data or sync directly for your phone, all sorts of options! I hope you find one that works for you!

Alleke- I barely had the thermometer for a month so it shouldn't need a new battery just yet. It's also super difficult to get the battery out of mine for some reason.

BSN2MOM- thank you for your advice. I'll have to check it out. I found one that had excellent reviews and just my luck, they discontinued making them lol Until then I'll just use the one I have. I haven't had any problems with the replacement so far.
