My 2 year old is terrible for trying to stop herself doing a poo and ends up with such a sore bum where the skin breaks down. It means she's still in nappies too. Sudocream isn't working and bepatham makes it worse. Any other tips?

When LO had a bad nappy rash we used metanium (the yellow one not the daily) and it worked really well

Edit: it stains if you get it on things like carpet so be careful

what ever cream i used i always used to slather vaseline on aswell to work as a barrier and stop anything burning the skin any more!
h xx

Also use Metanium (yellow cream) I got it on prescription but you can buy it in supermarkets, it really is great it clears up my boys red bum in hoursx

Another one for metanium here. Only thing that works on my baby girl.

I use yellow metanium on my son. It's amazing I have used It for almost 4.5 years.

I found both the yellow metanium or Burts bees nappy cream both excellent after trying lots of other creams

Another vote for metanium, I used that if he every looks sore and it would clear right up and lots of bare bum time I'd great and helps clear it faster I think.

Again metanium. Stinks, looks petty gross, stains clothing if you're not careful but beats the others.

We always use bepanthem. Clears anything up over night. We call it magic cream :haha:

Definitely metanium and using it with vaseline is definitely a good tip. I also found that once cleared up the best nappy cream I could use was vaseline. DD1 used to get dreadful nappy rash where the skin would crack and bleed and the best prevention was vaseline and metanium cleared it up most of the time. I did however end up with steroid cream from the doctor to help too so if it doesn't clear go to the docs xx
