Hi everyone

Have noticed that for some reason, Poppy seems to be struggling with a bit of tummy ache after some feeds and only seems more comfortable when she finally trumps it out:blush: It's not as bad as colic but does anyone recommend anything that I can give her to relieve it that works ie Infacol or gripe water?

Also, does what I eat have an affect on her tummy and if so, how soon after ie the same day or the next day?

Thanks xx

I used infacol never did anything for jacob bar give him the runs. So HV suggested colief it worked much better (only problem is its 9.99 for a lil bottle and last about 1 week) but if it works you can get it on prescription. Gripe water also helps after feeds bring up wind. Dont know if your breast feeding or bottle but if bottle have you tried a faster flowing teat?? as sometimes sucking alot can cause excess wind and i dont know what bottle you use, but we tried heaps and found dr browns are brill!! they help reduce wind. Also massaging baba's tummy helps :) XxxX

Thanks girls. I have just bought some Infacol so I hope it doesn't give her the runs... I am breastfeeding so it's not down to bottles/teats.

I didnt think infacol made a difference to karl, but im bottle feeding.
I find that gripe water helps to settle him, but doesnt actually take the pain away, he does fart alot after it though

I used Infactol for a while and ended up giving double doses but it didn't help much. I use Dentinox now and find it much better, she's much less windy and the burps come up much quicker than before.

I like gripe water better... I tried infacol and it constipated her. If he has colic and you breastfeed, cutting out dairy, coffee etc may help.

oh ya, lots of tummy time too

Also I find putting Seren in her sling and walking around the house for a bit helps, after about 5-10 mins of bobbing up and down in that the burps come along

If you have no joy with the infacol/colief type of wind/colic remedies (I could never get mine to take the damn stuff! or keep it down)
I used a natural product made by NewEra (got it from Holland and Barrett) it comes in a little pellet, about the size of this 0 f(450 of these for £4.49) and they dissolve instantly on the tounge. They do all sorts too, I use the Cold/cough ones and teething ones on my older lo's and Oliver has the colic/flatulance ones!
