I thought it would be good to have a thread of best and worst NP products. You can include cloth nappies, slings/carriers, natural products e.g. Amber necklace, baby wash & creams etc and anything else that you think is worth a mention.

Best

Cloth nappies - BumGenius Newborn/XS for the first few weeks were great. Now we use BG Flips with the stay dry insert for days and Tots Bots Bamboozle Stretch for nights with Motherease Rikki wraps. I also love eBay cheapies stuffed with Easy Peasy hemp & a Little Lamb bamboo booster for pretties :)

Wipes - Cheeky Wipes (or homemade equivilant) & Jackson Reece are fab.

Washes/creams - LOVE Burt's Bees products like baby hair & body wash (smells lush) and nappy cream. Waitrose Bottom Butter is also yummy and good for dry skin (mine & Leo's!).

Worst

Cloth nappies - Itti Bitti D'Lish SIO's & Tots Bots V1 don't work for us at all and LO out pee'd the Itti within an hour even at just 4/5 weeks old :(

We're lucky we haven't really had and bad buys yet.

So what are yours? :flower:

Best

My ebay cheapy pockets, never had a leak yet and totally idiot proof, zero re-sale value and the inserts that came with them are a bit pants but pop in a hemp or bamboo insert and its plain sailing.

Tots flexitots

My airflows and little comfort wraps are just bombproof.

Worst

Totsbots wraps

Itti tutto - poo fence my aR$e

thirsties duo wrap - leaked terribly

Best

Our Itti's- to be honest I didn't even know it was possible to get a fit as good as what we have with our Itti's.
Mini la la nappy- excellent fit and has never let us down!

Worst
Totsbots easyfit v1- terrible!

Best - as in my favourites
Itti Bitti Tutto
Tots Bots Easyfits V2
Dunk n Fluff fitteds and wraps
Wee Notions OBV or Sweet Bobbins cloth wipes
Monkeyfoot wetbags

There's loads more than I really like but these have been the best for reliability over the last six-eight months.

Worst - hated all of these
Wonderoo V1
Close Parent Pop In Dream Dri V2
Cutie Patootie

Baby products - Favourites are Weleda baby wash, moisturiser and nappy cream, Burts Bee nappy cream

so funny how everyone has such a diff opinion on nappies, how some work for some and not others.

best nappy- flips

carrier- connecta

worst nappy-itti/tots bots v1/v2

worst carrier-i dont like mei tais, the straps just annoy me when you can have a buckled mei tai type, like a connecta, more simple for same thing really.

Best:

Nappies - Motherease Sandys and one size with motherease wraps

Slings - Sleepy wrap, Ergo and Boba, Hotsling

Also LOVE my Amby natures nest!

Worst:

Nappies -Bum genius v3 and v4 - never been able to hold even one wee, leak every time without fail!

Amber teething necklace, although this was more of an individual reaction - ds couldn't stand having something around his neck and had bad eczema on his ankles so couldn't wear it there. I wear it as a bracelet now though!

I wish I'd seen this before I brought itti sio!

Best:
Motherease one size - have been fantastic since day one!
Tots bits wraps
Weenotions wraps - fantastic! I wish I'd found them earlier!
Weenotions os

Worst:
Itti sio
Bumgenius wrap - leaked through the middle!

Ok:
Flips - fine is I need space but have had a few leaks!

Such a great thread, I haven't been using cloth long enough to comment but will be watching for more replies, thank you!

Best

Baby Blush and In a Pear Tree nappies, awesome
Hushamok hammock
Ergo/Moby
Organic biodegradable wipes
Lucas Pawpaw ointment

Worst

Mini Lala - never got on with them
Reusable wipes - god the faffing, extra cleaning blah blahh blahh
Bloody 'Pot of Gold' baby balm - awful greasy stuff!

Limited experience at the moment but here goes so far:

Best buys:
Cheeky wipes - love em and it's just so easy, especially when you already use cloth.
Close Parent pop-in bamboo - we've got a few of these now, cheap from waitrose, and they're GREAT at night. SO absorbant and we use them mainly at night.

Wost buys:
Itti sio and tutto - terrible fit so cut my losses and sold them straight away. :dohh:

Best: all things itti, bumgenius and weenotions. Product wise, MF wetbags, burts bees skincare, lush dream cream. Amber necklace.
worst: flips, totsbots, pop-in, and FITTEDS!! despiiiise fitteds and wraps. Products - not really had a bad buy i dont think

:)

Best buys:

BG organic AIOs. Best nappies EVER!
Monkeyfoot wetbags.
Cheeky Wipes.
Amber necklace.
Mini packs of jackson reece wipes- 10 wipes a pack- they're flushable so great for out and about.
Rose+Rebellion baby carrier. Love it soooooooo much!
XS and S and M all in one BGs. LOVED them so much for the first 4 months.

Worst:

Weehuggers- the aplix cut his stomach open! And they said they knew, it was a known problem....
All other nappies that he outpeed in an hour: blueberries, mini lalas, itti aios, loads really!

best
wns
ittis (i hated them when she was little they always leaked but i liked the look of them so much i brought a large to try again n they work so well now strange)
HL bedbugs
brightstar
burts bees stuff
cheeky wipes

worst
wn wraps they always mark lo badly shes very chunky so that may be why
r&r carrier though i loved it n was very comfy n easy to use izzy hated it n we used it twice
mini la las for some reason i just couldnt get on with them

Best buys- my best ones were the best at the time I used them but have changed over the years...

tots bots unbleached nippa nappies (in 2008 on my older (v fat!) son)
bamboo pop-in with night booster (too small now)
bambooty large (great everyday nappy though getting small and a bit leaky now)
HL bedbug (love the stay-dry inner and abosrbency)

Worst- I wouldn't say anything has been a disaster but I didn't like

dizzy diapers by Nature Babies (again, a looong time ago)
or TB easyfits v1 fluffles

Everything else I've ever had is liveable with.

Best: flips (after a long love of pop-ins & refusal to try flips, i finally caved & yes theyre amazing!!) WNOS, i could only afford 1, but i love it!

Worst: Itti sio or aio or tutto, ebay cheapies. although that was at 2 months old, after reading what a pp said, im tempted to try more now he's bigger!? madness i tell you!

^^we didnt start cloth till izzy was 5m n i brought cheapies first
i ended up putting them away coz they didnt work n ive just started using them again now with a LL booster they dont last ages but are fine indoors

Ittis were useless in small and medium for us, but in larges work fab...

i must have the only baby who itti's have worked like a dream for since day one  Lucky really, i would have bought them anyway

It does seem rare to find someone who S/M Itti's worked for! I'm gutted they're not a good fit on LO as they're so cute & fluffy!x

Best

Itti SIO
Blueberry SS

Worst

Tots Bots Fluffle (never worked. Gah)
Itti Tutto (can't stop them leaking)
Disposable liners (always gave her nappy rash)
Nipple shields
