I went to a NICU xmas party at the hospital where my LO was born and stayed for 6 weeks before being transferred nearer home.
It was such an emotional afternoon, I felt so proud and honoured to be in a room with lots of strong babies who had fought to stay in this world. Not forgetting that they were with their brave and strong parents.
It brought home to me (again) how lucky we truely are...I cried on the way home, I think I was overwhelmed by the reunion with some mums and just seeing lots of miracles, sitting, crawling, walking around...
Also Emily got to sit on Santa's knee and got a little gift...I never thought we would see the day...
Sorry to waffle, just wanted to share some happiness...
