i have read a lot on here about bf babies being constipated. welljack is doing about 5 poos a day and they are still a runny mustard consistancy hes never been constipated. any one elses babies like this x

Chloe-marie has a dirty nappy everytime she is changed and its quite runny too. Health visitor said its normal. As long as he is putting on weight i wouldn't worry

I've heard more about it being the other way around - formaal fed babies being constipated. My LOs poo started like mustard and turned to peanut butter like as she got a little older

Kaida has days (like today), where she poops all day. Then days where it's once, or not at all. She has her own routine...wish she'd let me on it.

Completely normal! Never thought I'd say this but I miss it! Only because they smell so much worse now he's having food! Enjoy it x

Bren poops several times a day still.

Bella poops several times a day too. She's never gone a day without pooping.

Babies on BM aren't necessarily constipated. The digestive tract of an infant is not finished developing when it's born. It takes a few weeks for it to finish, and it takes a few more for the peristalsis (the movement of the bowel) to normalize.

My DD used to poo every day (several times a day). Now she's normalized to once a day or once every other day.
