BFing and sickness?

Does anyone else feel ill when they BF? At first I thought it was thirst/low blood sugar/hunger so now I always have a pint of water to drink and some snacks. Even with those, whenever I BF I get really dizzy and nauseous. Anyone else?

I get really thirsty when I breastfeed...Thats common though especially during a let down of milk..I get dizzy when Im a lil dehydrated n breastfeeding..I Just gotta remember to stay hydrated..

Yes, when I was trying to BF I constantly felt lightheaded and tired and dizzy... I was a complete zombie. But it was all the time, not just when I was nursing.

It's possibly to do with the hormones that are released when you feed your baby. It may just take a little time to get used to them. My sister would fall asleep every time she BF for the first few days, all due to the hormones

Thanks girls. It stops as soon as I stop BFing but its stange. Like having morning sickness all over again. I worry that I'll actually be sick when I BF Hormones sound like the most likely cause.

I feel really odd when I express, like I am going to faint, I'm getting more used to it now tho.

For me, I'd feel tingles all through my breast and it would run all down the side of me right down to the tips of my toes. It was really strange.
