Bickiepegs

Has anyone tried using these? They are an absolute godsend! My mum told me she used to use them with my little sister when she was teething but since I'd not seen them around I assumed they didn't make them anymore. But I found some in Boots and bought some to try out. Grace has had niggly teething pains but sometimes in the night she wakes up screaming and is inconsolable. So the other night when she woke up I put some Anbesol on her gums and she was still screaming so I took out a bickiepeg and put it in her mouth and she started biting on it and instantly stopped crying and was just sitting there munching on this thing. As you know when babies are getting teeth they have urges to bite on everything to soothe themselves so these are fab. It's made out of stuff you would make biscuits out of (but without the salt and sugar) and it's rock hard so it won't break off in your babies mouth. They're only £1.80 for 9 and I would definately reccomend giving them a try if your LO is terrible with their teething

Thanks for the advice off to google them now! x

ive used them for some time but lily doesnt seem to get anything from them, glad that they work for grace tho hun. x

My friend used these with her daughter and swears by them. I intend to get some in, ready for the big occassion!!!

I had these when I was younger and yeah Jack has them and loves them. Well recommended !

ewan got his first tooth at 8 weeks and since then has been teething like mad ever since. he has the red cheeks, dribble and chewing everything that goes near his mouth. i seen these in asda but figured hes probably too young for these? how old were your LO's when you tried them?

heres a pic taken around 10 weeks

My baby is 15 weeks and chews on bickiepegs just fine. I wrap the ribbon around his wrist so he cant choke, put the peg in his hand and he does the rest himself.

He loves them and they seem to help him. The only thing I have found is that if he has one for quite a while they can get a bit soggy and today a tiny bit of corner came off.

Has anyones babies managed to get through one?

The box recommends they only have the same one for a maximum of 20 mins. I think the reason is because after 20 mins they start to get soft and break off

Change them when you notice them first going a bit mushy, or failing that have you seen those finger food guards they sell in asda? It's like a fine mesh sleave that lets baby chew and eat the food through precisely so the dont choke on broken off bits. You could most likely fit a bickie peg in that.

Yeah, think your right. Although they claim thats for hygiene reasons and not that they go soggy.
