So I have either a bicorunate or a septate uterus the doctor can't really tell because baby is right in the way. I have never had painful periods or irregular periods or a hard time conceiving like some stories I have read. I have had no spotting and only minor cramping this pregnancy. I have had 6 ultrasounds get my seventh on the 24th. I guess I am cursed but blessed with this uterus because I get to see my baby so much. Baby is growing strong with a HB in the 150's. The question I have is what are my chances of carrying to term I am currently 15 weeks today. Please share your stories with me ladies. All stories welcome. Thank you :). I attatched a picture of my little Jelly Bean just cause lol.

I'm in a similar boat. But my husband and I had a hard time getting pregnant. I had an ultrasound, an hsg, and an mri to try and diagnosis if I had a bicornuate uterus or a septum. I was just about to go to a specialist for help with the diagnosis when I found out I was pregnant. I have the same concerns about not carrying to term. I'm only 10 weeks right now so I can't share much more than you already know. But there is a thread of women with uterus anamoly. I would check it out because there are lots of supportive women with success stories.

Thank you, its crazy how much they don't tell you know even when they think they tell you everything. I love my OB and my specalist but its so hard to wonder every day. Have you had a lot of Ultrasounds this pregnancy?

No, only one ultrasound so far. Once I get to 18 weeks, it sounds like I'll get at least one a month until baby arrives. My ob always seems so positive about it, but maybe that's her way to keep me from worrying all the time. But I still worry alot!

I had one every two weeks till I was 12 weeks and now its once a month till baby. They are going to check your cervix every two weeks? That's what they are going to do with me once I am at 18 weeks.

Yep, they said I would get my cervix checked every two weeks starting at 18 weeks. Please keep in touch. I'm curious to hear how thing progress for you since you're a few weeks ahead of me. :)

Well congrats on your pregnancy, I read that a Uterin abnormality can make it hard to concive but I concived in my first month of trying, was it hard for you?

Yep, it took 13 months of trying. We were having our infertility work up when they found my bu or septum. I was about to go see a specialist to decide if it could be repaired, when I found out I was pregnant. Surprise! :)

Awe what a great way to find out actually!! I knew I had one from a previous miscarrage but I didn't know the complications it caused. I can't wait till Wednesday I might find out the sex of my baby!!

That's so exciting! If you don't mind me asking, what week were you when you had your miscarriage? I'm so nervous that I'm going to miscarry. In fact, I've had two nigtmares this week that I'm having a miscarriage. It's so scary.

Well I had my miscarrige in week seven so it was before a heart beat had even formed and started beating. I had a nightmare early in this pregnancy that my baby just fell out in the toilet and was so small. I think it is just the fear in all of us. I still worry but I am sure things are just fine. Have you beard the HB yet?

I haven't heard it yet, but I saw it on my first ultrasound at 8weeks. I hope to hear the heartbeat at my next appointment on the 29th. I'll 12 weeks then.

Oh man it is the most amazing sound you will ever hear. For me everywherehing changed my whole life was now for that little tiny beating heart. My next app is the 24th and I can't wait!!

hey there, i have a bicornuate uterus. As far as I know it doesnt cause any problems in conceiving, some other uterine abnormalities (for example dydelphic uterus) may but I havent been told bicornuate is one of them. This is my 2nd pregnancy and my first pregnancy I didnt carry to term. My waters broke at 29 weeks and I gave birth at 34 wks. I was in hospital for that 5 weeks on total bed rest.

In saying that, it was a very stressful pregnancy for me and stress can also cause a premature rupture of membranes. So i cant say 100% it was my bicornuate uterus that caused the PROM but chances are it was. I am hoping I can go a little longer this pregnancy :) Good Luck hun and if u have any questions just inbox me :)

Thank you for your reply. I am so worried I don't want anything to happen to my little guy. I hope he stays in till at least 34 weeks.
