This might be a dumb question, but if you are using a birthing ball during labor, how do you keep it from rolling around all over the place? Or is it heavy enough to stay put even if you put your full weight on it?

Um.. its just like a thicker, stronger version of a beach ball, its not heavy! I guess its just your weight that keeps it still.. I never even thought about that, but I had no mishaps when using mine

Yeah I used mine whilst sucking on the gas and air lol my oh was worried i was going to tip back so sat behind me- I was fine tho ==]

Your weight will flatten it out on the top and bottom, so no need to worry. You can also get a type of exercise ball called a ballast ball, which has some sand in the bottom to weigh it down and keep it more stable.

Can really recommend Birthease Balls! I bought a cheap gym ball first and it was absolute crap. Your weight keeps it in one place though. It was a godsend, not just in labour but from about 20 weeks it was the only place I was comfortable sitting.
