I guess I put off signing up for another birthing class too long. (We were in one but it conflicted with OH's work schedule) Now, I can't find one anywhere that hasn't already started or will end too late. I have found a woman who gives private classes so we'd only have to do three 2 hour classes, but it's $150 with a $50 deposit and is also located in a city 45 minutes away. My main question for you girls is are there any of you who haven't taken a childbirth class?

I never took a single birthing class.

I took one class, and found I was being told stuff I already knew.
If you can't do classes, make sure you do lots of research on what to expect and you'll be fine.
Make sure you go for a tour of your hospital..I never got one and had no idea of where anything was. I was told it was dinner time, but didn't know I had to go to the kitchen (which I didn't know where was) to get it. So I had no dinner.

I had some classes, TBH I knew most of the stuff they told us.
I did like it though, but ours were free, it's up to you really, plenty of people don't have them.

Okay thanks you guys, from the first class I went to I knew everything they mentioned. I just wasn't sure if there was some special information I was missing out on about labor :p We are scheduled to take the tour the first week in August as well as a breastfeeding and a newborn basics class, all of which are free. Which is stupid because the hospitals birthing classes at $60. But hopefully things will be okay, she's coming out whether i know what to do or not :p and really how prepared can you be for something no one can describe perfectly since it's different for everyone?
