Birthing my big baby

The whole way thorughout my pregnancy I was told I was carrying a huge baby estimated at 10lb +, well she arrived at 8.7lb still big but nowhere near the 10lb.

Unfortunately I did end up in an emergency c section but that was because of my pelvis size and the Dr said that even if I had a 6lb baby I would not of birthed it naturally.

I had an epidural it was a mobile one so I could still move my legs, it was amazing, completely took the pain away but i could still feel when the contractions where coming and when it came to pushing i knew and could feel when to push.

My son was a little bit more than 9lb and I was lying on the side all the time I was pushing (46 minutes). But they didn't count my son as a big baby. It's easier to get the baby out if you let gravity help. Don't know what's helping the baby not to get stuck.

Ds1 was 9lb 7oz and I had and epidural although hard he came out ok, he also had a huge head at 37.5cm. Ds2 was 8lb 11oz and had a head of 34cm and he got stuck badly. Apparently it is not the size of the baby neseccerily that is a factor in them getting stuck. Just try to keep mobile and help your baby get in the best position. My ob also said my 1st was just under being classed as big technically.
