Hi,
I am planning my second homebirth. And wondered if anyone can give me some advice how they kept the water temp at the righ temp to be able to birth in the pool. My first home waterbirth couldnt happen as the midwife said it wasnt warm enough to birth in, so I got out and delivered on dry land. I have just bought an birth pool in a box, off ebay. You cant keep adding hot water to the pool as it will obviously get full, and they aret easy to empty, unless you go back and forawrds with a pan, which isnt ideal, when its supposed to be a calm environment, if you know what I mean.
Thanks in advance.

With my birthing pool i got a submersible (sp?) pump to empty the water. The idea is that when i need more hot water i will turn on the pump to empty some out then refill with hose with warm water. I rented mine though so im not sure how much the pump is to buy. Other than doing that i have no idea how to keep it warm although my pool is an Aquaborn and has a floating lid. Hope this helps xx

Thanks for that. there is a pump with the pool ive got, so thats a great idea.
Thanks:thumbup:
