So i'm hoping for a home , water birth this time around and was wondering if anyone could recommend a pool to me and point me in the right direction to where i can get one which isn't too expensive. I'm also unsure what else you need to get with the pool so any advice would be muchly appreciated .

Thank you :) x

I got a la bassine pool from ebay with inflator pump, pump to empty and tarpaulin, repair kit and hose. It was £50 plus £25 delivery as the guy was a new seller. You can get bargains on there.

I didn't get to use mine as La was 16 days late and I was induced but my friend used it successfully and I hope to this time!

This is the pool I have https://www.birthsupport.org.uk/ourshop/cat_134796-Birth-Pool-La-Bassine-by-Made-in-Water.html

Thank you- hadn't come across this until now and it looks really good . Do you think a foot pump would do the job ? And do you need to get the pumps to empty it or is it just ideal ? Also can you use any clean hose or are they specially designed ? Is that all i need too ? Sorry if i sound dumb just making sure exx

I've hired mine from https://www.waterbabybirthingpoolhire.co.uk/

We have it for 5 weeks for £80 and that includes pumps and a liner and all kinds of other stuff including a sieve! haha. They are inflatable pools and there is a choice of 2 sizes. It arrives tomorrow! Whoop!
