A bit of a vain one......

As title suggests, perhaps the answer is obvious but do you think changing hair colour would affect your relationship with LO granted they are only just starting to study your face etc, i ask because mines studies my eyes, hair and hair line probaby more than anything else whenwe feed and i have a loooooong overdue hair highlight on saturday.....hesitant to do roots incase i ruin all the wonderful visual bonding weve done?! Am i overthinking things!?

I doubt it very much, they would get used to it straight away! I coloured my hair about 2-3 weeks after Lyla was born and she still knew I was her mummy!! x

It didn't bother Abby although she hated me having my hair tied back. and once went nuts when I walked in with a towel on!

One thing though, my hairdresser advised waiting about 6 months after LO was born to give my hair a chance to recover from pregnancy.

I don't think it will make a difference, LO will still know its you from looking at you and hearing your voice.

yes your over thinking things lol

I died my hair blonde about 2 months back and was thinking the same but he didnt even notice hun. Go get your hair done

<3

I'm surprised the girls know who
I am  but foogirl has a point, if I had realised the amount of hair loss I'd have postnatally I'd not have messed around with my hair so much!

Wow really? About when does hair start to shed? ( sound like a dog LOL) i had very thick coarse hair prior to preg and its now far too thick so was kinda looking forward to getting rid of some of it? Lol! Unless its bad? X

I'm not too clued up there tbh! My hair seemed fine when I had DD1 but then again I had more things to worry about than my hair!

I didn't notice my hair shedding after Tori at first. My hair was mostly pink though. Now it's dark again, I notice it more in the shower and on the carpet. I thought it may have been damaged cause I can be excessive when it comes to my hair. But nope- the hair that comes out in the shower is from the roots, not breakage. I can see the regrowth if I hold my hair up-there's little short new hair at my hairline.

It's not just the loss, the hair is quite brittle as it has been stripped of nutrition. My hair was a mess for a good while, but part of that was that I missed so many hair cuts in the run up to Abby being born and was too busy at the hospital afterwards.

Are we supposed to lose our hair :o
I haven't lost anything and my hair is still smooth & healthy like it was pre preggo.
I need mine cut though, hasn't been cut for about 2 and a half years :o

Wrap a towel around your head, like when you get out of the shower. If they're recognise you then it's no different really :) Myles still recognises me so I imagine it's all down to the face. It's no different than make up really - your baby will still recognise you with a face of slap as much as first thing in the morning :)
