Bladder spasms/cramp after c-section???

Hi I had my baby girl 12days ago via emergency c-sec and ever since urinating has been so painful! I have had loads of UTIs Before in the past but this pain is cometely different! It's more like my bladder goes into a spasm/cramp when ever I start to urinate and lasts till I finish, it's so painful I can't speak through it and have to grab the bathroom sink!

Anyone had this before? Did it go away and when? I see my consultant again on Wednesday so will Definately mention it to her. X

Yes, I have the same thing!! Went to the GP (general practitioner) today and it turns out I have a bladder infection. I thought it was from the manhandling of the bladder during the c-section that it was so painful. I'm now on anti-biotics for the infection. Good luck to you, I hope they can tell you on Wednesday why you're having those awfully painful bladder spasms.

i had this after my section last time, was almost like a dragging feeling, sort of spasm. I didnt get an infection but put it down to bruising...it went pretty fast

I have exactly the same thing! Tests this week showed no water infection so they are saying it is a severe bruising. I hope it improves soon... it's miserable having pain every time I need to pass water.
