Bleeding 23 weeks

Hi all last night I had some cramping which was similar to trapped wind, when I got up to go to the toilet I noticed light pink blood on the tissue. I'm now absolutely terrified, I haven't slept all night and am now just waiting for 8am so I can call my midwife. I haven't had any blood since so am just hoping it could have perhaps come from a vaginal cut or something.

The midwife has just advised that I wait and see if I bleed anymore today! I wish someone would just check it?!

Hope everything is ok. I've had spotting off and on during this pg, but nothing for a few weeks. Usually it's because of an irritable cervix. Have u had sex or a bm in the last couple of days? That could cause it.

Thank you, the midwife checked me over and baby's little heart was still beating away and I feel a lot better for hearing it! The midwife couldn't find a reason for the bleed but said sometimes these things can just happen and not to worry x

I bled with dd1 at 24 weeks, was only light pink but I called the hospital and was asked to go in to be monitored, she was fine and they couldn't find the reason for the bleeding, she's now a cheeky almost 3 year old x

Hi hun, I'm glad baby is doing well and the bleed is probably nothing but I wanted to share my experience. I had a slight bleed with my last pregnancy at 23 weeks. Didn't think much of it but called the midwife and she said she'd book me an ultrasound after the weekend. I should have just gone straight to the emergency because it turned out I was dilating. I really don't mean to scare you but a bleed after the first tri is something to take seriously. I'm also wary of midwives advice now bc they didn't take my bleeding seriously. I later also lost my mucous plug without knowing it so I'd if you are not going to have it checked at least be on the lookout for increased discharge.

Had a bleed with my dd and it was due to a urine infection x

Glad everything is ok, like the mw said, sometimes these things just happen, as scary as it can be. Xx
