bleeding after BM???? Anyone??

I am curious to find out how common this is. This first happened to me very early in my pregnancy(even though its still early) I am 7 wks now. Seems everytime I go to have a BM I get blood vaginally with it. Red Blood, not pink, brown etc.... It happens whether I strain or not, it doesn't matter. Its scaring me a bit. I have put in a call to my doc to see what they say, I am waiting for a call back. I would like to know if this happens to others and what the outcomes are or were. thanks all

Never had that happen here. I wonder if you have a low lying placenta... A call to your doc is a good idea. Hope all is well.

I just got a call back and she didn't seem worried. She told me that, that can be normal in the beginning. Its probably just my cervix being super sensitive. Though when I had a scan a few wks ago, it was internal and I didn't bleed after that? I don't know. She told me unless the bleeding stays around to where I have to use a pad or it gets heavier with cramps and backache, then not to worry about it. I am still scheduled for the 15th, I was hoping she would have me come in, but she just said she would see me at my appt. Ok so I guess I should stop worrying so much, as she also said that there was nothing I could do either way anyway. thanks knit

Hi, I had this same thing happen to me when I was pregnant with my youngest child. I was told that it was just a super sensitive cervix that was causing it, but it still made me sick with worry! I think after I was out of the first trimester, the spotting stopped.

Hi,
I've experienced a couple of weeks of this - I was so scared when I looked into the toilet bowl and saw bright red blood - my first thought was that I was losing the baby. I had a couple of times with fresh blood, and then it seemed to change to a brownish discharge - this seems to have stopped for the past couple of days (I'm 7 wks now.)

I had a scan this week, and have to return in 2 weeks for another one, but I was told again that it's very common and not to worrry too much!

I did this twice with bad constipation early in my second trimester. The doctor kept asking me if I was sure which place it came from! It hasn't happened again.
