I recently had my first IVF attempt which was successful but I am really concerned so any experiences or advice would be helpful.

I started bleeding 3 days before my test day not heavy but enough to be concerned and it was every different colour and texture but with no cramps at all. So I've now had 4 days with nothing but I've just started to bleed again with no cramps and not too heavy. I know that people can bleed in early pregnancy but don't know if I should be concerned. The hospital won't do bloods and have told me to wait for my scan which is 2 weeks away. HPT's are still showing positive, Any advice please xxx:help:

didn't want to read and run, can't advise really just gota sit tight I think. I've had 3 friends bleed and all have been fine. I think it can be after EC a bit of a clot can occur and maybe release itself or it could be something else. Really hard not to worry but it's out of your hands I suppose :( good luck hun and congrats on your bfp, hope it sticks :)

Congratulations to you on your little one. Like MummyIWannaBe said, it can be old blood from EC. Are you spotting or bleeding a handfull? Stay calm and wait for the bleeding to subside, then go in for your scan when the time comes. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

I had a bit of bleeding as well. My clinic said it was normal. As long as it doesn't saturate a pad not to worry. I was mortified!!! But, all is well and I have beautiful 9 month old baby girls!

Thanks ladies, Well the bleeding hasn't got any worse but it hasn't stopped either and i've been having really bad cramps so i'm not feeling too hopeful trying to be positive but you know how it is. The hospital has said I can go in tomorrow for an early scan so at least i'll know either way. Really appreciate the replies I'll keep everyone updated xxx

Well after getting a Pregnant result on a digi and it also showing conception at 3+ this morning the scan couldn't find anything so they think it is a biochemical pregnancy but can't be 100 % as it's too early. They have took bloods and want to check again on Monday on another scan but looks like i'm going to be back on this IVR rollercoaster in a couple of months. No frosties so yet another hit to the pocket, Thanks for the advice and support I will keep the thread updated so people know what happened !!!!

I'm no expert but I wouldn't have thought a digi would show up a 3+ with a chemical???? When I had mine the digi didn't get past 1-2 weeks when it should have been going higher. I'm not sure how the hcg rises enough in a chemical to show a 3+ result.

FX'd xxx

I really hope that that isn't the case and that it's just too early to show on the scan. I pray this is the case for you. Jeanette has a point, seems strange to me too, I have my fingers crossed for you :hugs:

:shrug:The hospital said that the chances of there being a pregnancy there on monday when I have the next scan are very small and they are yet to rule out an eptopic which is just a bloody joke as thats why i'm having Ivf coz i've got blocked tubes, Typical for me that nothing can find it way out of them but the 1 thing we don't want to go in there does !!!!

It's just so frustrating to have had the positive result for a week to be hit with this, Oh well we'll know more on Monday.

I did think ectopic but then thought the chances of that must be pretty slim after ivf, I hope you get some good news at the next scan xx

Just incase anyone was following this, I started a new thread called Biochemical pregnancy after IVF (Any idea's ???) I think it helps to know the outcome if you have similar symptoms xxx
