Blocked pipes - possible baby wipes

I know I know I know how bad it is to do this but it was done.

Our pipes seem completely blocked. The sewer pipe that goes down the side of the driveway just has overflown up the way. I have someone coming in the morning to take a look at it but just wanted to know if it is a big job or a totally gross job. Bit scared as to what they'll pull out :/

Gross more than anything I believe, rubbish you have to wait until tomorrow, is it dyno rod? Because I thought they had to come out same day, but maybe that's if you call before a certain time.

It's my uncle that's coming. It's fine, I'm at my mums now until bedtime and then he is coming in the morning.

I told my LO not to flush the chain earlier and he did, and I could see toilet roll at the top of the pipe that links to the pipe coming down the side of the house. I'm so angry with myself as its nobody's fault but mine.

Oh my god, that's what I fear happening. Maybe I should cancel my uncle, I feel a bit a bit sick at the thought :/

We only noticed last night after my OH noticed errr stuff going down the driveway.i had to bleach and brush it this morning and thought it was fine but its been raining since then which has caused it to flood again.

This happened a couple of times in my mums back garden one year, turned out it was the neighbors next door but one flushing wet wipes and even nappies down the toilet.
Council got so fed up with them after the fourth time that year they gave the family a £6000 bill/fine, they soon stoped doing after that.
That was after being warned 3 or 4 times though and it eventualy broke a pipe.
It was nasty for my mum because the maintenance grate was in her garden and flooded it with nastyness.

Don't mean to be rude but why do you flush baby wipes down the toilet?

I've seen on tv people talk about all sorts being found down toilet pipes. If its what your uncle does for a living I wouldn't worry he's probably used to it! Xx

It will be a really messy job, yes. Happened to someone on our street at our old house and the mess that came out of the pipe was really gross

I know it's stupid, but I figured because they flushed, it was ok. I know now that it definitely is not and I'm so angry with myself grrrrr.

My dad said it shouldn't be too messy. My uncle will have access to the downflowing underground pipe from the street, so he could pull with his wires and it should come loose. Right, this is my optimistic thought although I know my luck...

My dad cleared out the drain from his house and found baby wipes, sanitary wear and yes shit. ugh, rather him than me.. (and that was for a few houses ick!!)

Frankly as far as im concerned NOTHING except poop/loo roll should be going down the loo, iv learnt that even more since having a septic tank

I had an ex that insisted on flushing the condoms down the commode. I told him he couldn't as I have a septic system and he thought I was trying to collect his sperm, so would wash them out.
