It's from Poppy's teeth. The top and bottom ones are rather large now (FIL calls her Brer Rabbit ) and they are rubbing quite badly.

My question is, should I avoid feeding from it and let it heal or just slather it with good old Lansinoh and push through the pain barrier?

Also, will I explode if I feed from only one boob for a few days?

I'm not sure of the answer to that but just wanted to say OWWWWWW!

I hope it gets better soon, I am so glad Poppy is still a gummy little thing at the moment! :hugs:

Thanks. I think I have picked a good time to start weaning her! x

I'd probably try to push through but if you're really struggling you could feed from one and pump from the other. :)

:hugs:

Yes, I am. I am actively encouraging her to drop her two day time feeds but still doing morning and evening at the moment. I am going back to work soon and I feel like it's time. She struggled a bit yesterday but I think distraction is key. It's tough when they're this age and they know where to head for when they want milkies!

You're still feeding Poppy, aren't you?

Yes, mainly just morning and night but she has started wanting it in the afternoon again at about 4ish. It's pretty rare that she has a mid morning one but like you say, if you can distract them or are out and about it's not such a big problem.

I just hope she can go without the late afternoon one when I go back to work too... x

I've been back in work for the past 3 weeks - just 3 days. I send milk and bottled with Hebe as she occasionally 'asked' for mid afternoon mimi but she's not been bothered at all - I think like Bec said distraction is the key and when you're not there, I dont think it even pops into their heads. :)

Thanks for the info Bec and MM. I felt mean yesterday witholding it from her but she soon forgets about it once Daddy takes her off me. It's for the best in the long run, I know. I don't want the transition to nursery to be too painful for any of us.

Just spoke to the HV and she says she shouldn't need any other milk at the moment as long as she is getting a good morning and evening feed and cheese, milk in cereal etc.

That's pretty much where we are at now x
