I had a lot of clots due to PPH after my little one was born and the morning after passed a huge clot. I had no idea until the midwife actually noticed the clots.
I passed one about twelve hours after while using the bathroom for the first time. My nurse was helping me sit when it just kind of fell out. I passed another one four days later which was huge. I really didn't feel it until I looked down and saw it then I might have had a little cramping.
Are you talking about a post-op clot, like one in your leg or elsewhere? Or one from the uterus?
Everyone passes clots post-natally, as it is the uterus repairing itself. Very large clots should be investigated, maybe larger than a baseball? It could be a sign that a part of the placenta was retained and has the potential to cause infection. But everyone passes clots
A DVT (deep vein thrombosis), or a clot in the leg, will cause one lower leg to go really red, swollen, and sore. Pretty rare.
PE is a pulmonary embolism, which is a clot in the lungs. This would cause severe shortness of breath and a very rapid heart rate. Very rare.
i had a c section last year and didn't pass any clots i was thinking maybe it was due to being cleaned out during c section, i had no idea about them now im worried is it common? i has a shot in my leg for clotting for there weeks is it because of that? i never saw any clots pass
