Saw my GP yesterday (UK) explained we're going onto our 15th cycle and have been off BC since October 2012, she has booked me in for hormone checks on Tuesday (while I am on AF) and for CD24 (progesterone) she will call me with the results, she did mention that OH may have to do a SA too but not until after my results.

Have any of you had these tests?

What do they test for, what if they come back abnormal what's next?

Yes I had them done and dh had sa tests. Just to check that your hormones indicate that you are/have ovulated and that your different hormones that act at different to times of the cycle are within normal limits. Mine were ok so not sure what next step is, but I'd guess most probably a laparoscopy for you to check your tubes etc x

Thank you for replying :flower:

Is it possible for your tubes to be blocked even if you've had children?

Yes, my friend has a son aged 13 and recently had a laparoscopy after failing to fall pregnant for 5 years and was discovered to have both tubes blocked. It obviously must've happened after having her son. She's now going for ivf x

Aw that must be hard, I didn't realize, our bodies are odd things! Guess I'll just wait and see what they say then.

I think hers may have been due to an infection that caused scarring. X
