blw - how long do mealtimes last?

I've been weaning lo for a couple of weeks now, and i was all prepared for meals to be a drawn out affair taking ages. However lo seems to have an initial burst of enthusiasm then gets...i think frustrated, certainly agitated quite quickly and i can't work out why or if this is normal. Sometimes she indicates quite clearly that it's because she wants water or boob (stretching for cup/me) sometimes she just seems angry so i figure she's done. So how long does a typical mealtime with an early blw baby last? (She's maonly on fruits, veggies, rice cakes, toast etc rather than proper meals)

I find it varies. My lo is 7 months and I also did Blw with my 3 year old. I always try and take her out her high chair when she seems grizzly or wants to finish as I don't want to associate sitting and eating with negative feelings. Mostly I find that she is happy to play with her food for as long as we are all at the table.

I would say about 40 mins, sometimes she gets grizzly hallway through but if I leave her with the food she picks it up and starts eating again, strange child!
