BLWers and US Thanksgiving

US Thanksgiving is around the corner (less than a week away). Wondering how the BLWers are handling Thanksgiving with your LOs...?

DS2 is awesome - we started him on applesauce, pearsauce, and baby oatmeal, and he started taking the spoon and shoving it in his mouth. Now, we do a lot more handheld foods - lil crunchies, apple slices, bread pieces, crackers, etc. So he showed us he was ready for BLW at 6.5 months. (We waited a little, since DS2 was born 3 weeks early.)

With US Thanksgiving coming up, I'm looking forward to introducing him to turkey, sweet potatoes, and some of the other things.

What are you looking forward to introducing your LO to at US Thanksgiving?

DS loved turkey last year, and pickles....he's a weirdo

All of our relatives were SHOCKED that he could just eat turkey not baby food. He was 8 months, 6.5 adj (and was tiny, since he was prem) and he just CHOWED DOWN on some turkey
