BnB Cops & Robbers
With the credit crunch hitting hard, more and more people are resorting to crime to pay their way and keep a roof over their head. But beware ... a new team of cops have been formed to specifically deal with the sudden crimewave, slapping an ASBO on any robbers they come across and “naming and shaming” within the local community ..... welcome to BnB Cops & Robbers
The game will consist of 20 players –
BnB Cops - 10 players will be assigned this role. It is your job to find out who the robbers are and “name and shame” them within the local community.
BnB FBI – 1 player will be assigned this role. If the cops are struggling on a case and cannont find the identity of a robber then you have the power to step in with your specialised skills, review the case and give them 3 clues. You are allowed to do this 3 times within the game and when your clues are up, they are up. You must pm when you want to use a clue
BnB Informant – 1 player will be assigned this role. You are the eyes and ears of the local community. You witness a robbery taking place and will be able to reveal three letters from the name of one of the robbers. You can only do this once and must pm when you want to use your clue
BnB Robbers – 7 players will be assigned this role. It is your job to try and avoid getting caught out by the cops.
BnB Convict – 1 player will be assigned this role. You are initially part of the team of robbers but there is a twist. Since you are only just out of prison and on a tag, if you get caught offending again by the cops you will go straight back to prison and be eliminated from the game
How it works
Each day the cops must discuss who they think is a robber. Make your choices carefully and vote for the person who’s identity you wish to be revealed
If you incorrectly guess the identity of a robber then the team of robbers will pick a cop to corrupt and they will be sacked from their job
If you correctly guess the identity of a robber then you win a free pass onto the next day and no cops will become corrupt and be sacked.
However if you incorrectly guess the identity of a robber THREE times in a row then the robbers will corrupt TWO cops and they will be sacked
At various points throughout the game the FBI, informant and convict will come into play (see roles above)
Each day of the game runs from 9pm (GMT) to 9pm, all votes must be cast by then, if not then we will go with the majority. I must also have received the cops choice via pm by this time.
This will go on for 7 days and at the end of the 7 days the team with the highest number of people wins!!
I will update the opening post daily so be sure to check it. I will list each player’s username and when they are corrupt or their identity is revealed I will change the colour to either
Cop – GREEN
Corrupt/Sacked Cop - RED
Robber – BLUE
Convict – PURPLE
Informant –ORANGE
FBI – YELLOW
Rules
You must NOT reveal your identity on the discussion thread, whatever role you have been assigned. Only the FBI and the informant can reveal their roles if they wish to
If you are assigned the role of a robber you must not discuss this with anyone other than your team mates via pm.
You have 24 hours to discuss who you would like to vote for . If you haven’t voted by 9pm then we will go with the majority vote.
The FBI and the informant players cannot be voted out of the game at any point by the robbers
Once you become corrupt and are sacked then you cannot continue to play or vote in the game thread until the game is over.
You can only vote once each day and it cannot be changed so use your vote wisely
And lastly.... have fun!!
Please post a reply to this thread if you would like to play, spaces are on a first come first served basis so once we hit 20 players the game is full. This thread will also be used for questions on the game so if your not sure of something or want clarification please ask
