Body piercings....

Has anyone here had a section who has body piercings? I can take most of my ear piercings out and the 2 that I cant were taped up last time. I have a retainer for my tongue which was fine last time but I now have a lip piercing and I was wondering if I would be ok with a retainer for that one?

I dont fancy it healing up if I have to take it out.

I have a tongue piercing and for my C Section I had to remove it (had a general anaesthetic) but as soon as I came round I just popped it back in and it was fine. As far as I know they like you to remove most jewellery if you can.

for my emergency section I was allowed to have all ear rings taped up but had to take out tongue

For my elective I really hope the same applies as I cannot take out half of my ear rings!!
