I want to buy a book or two about natural child birth. I'm not into hypnobirthing or anything like that, just hoping for something straightforward that gives good information about positions to try in labour, problems that might arise, and how to deal with them etc. I have done loads of reading on the net which I'm happy with but was thinking it would be good to have a book for me and OH to use as reference if we have any questions during the actual labour, I'm not sure if google will seem so easy to use then :). One I saw suggested was New Active Birth by Janet Balaskas, anyone have that? is it any good, or any other book that's better?

The one I always recommend, as it's so brilliant and doesn't assume anything, is Birth Skills by Juju Sundin. I've learned so much since the birth of my first child, but I still think this book is excellent. x

Unassisted Childbirth by Laura Shanley.
Spiritual Midwifery by Inna May Gaskin
Lotus Birth by Shirvram Rachana

I have loaned these out to friends at the moment so may have spelled the authors names wrong.
