Hi all,
I went to dr's today with something completely unrelated and happened to mention that I have thrush again and would like a prescription. She asked how often I get it and then checked my last blood tests which showed borderline bloodsugars. It wasn't a fasting test though as it wasn't a test for diabetes. She said the blood tests and recurrent thrush are enough to make her concerned that it could be diabetes. I have to do a fasting blood test tomorrow and wait a week for results (argh!).
I'm now very anxious. I've googled which was stupid.
I am only slightly overweight (bmi 26) and eat healthily (I was very overweight/obese a few years ago but have lost most of it). So type 2 is a possibilty but so is type 1! I had no idea you could develop it as an adult.
Has anyone ever experienced anything like this? Thanks x
