I went into labour Saturday 2nd November, it progressed slowly but finally got to 9cm on the Monday evening. During the labour, it was decided i needed a bit of help because he was back to back so the doctors used the kiwi cap to pull him out. I was very relieved when that was over but after a quick cuddle he was whisked to Special Care as they weren't happy with baby's breathing. Luckily, he spent less than 24 hrs in the incubator and is perfectly healthy now - just some fluid that needed clearing the think. We spent most of last week in hospital which wasn't good as hospitals are difficult places to sleep in and that was all I wanted to do after 3 missed nights! We couldn't have been in better hands though, the Alexandra in Redditch is second to none when it comes to special care babies.

So we're back home now, things are good but I think I have the baby blues! Ellis is no trouble....he only cries when he's hungry and he's so beautiful but I have this background anxious feeling, I'm very sensitive and a bit snappy. Hope this goes away soon coz I'm generally over the moon and loving being a mummy but can't shake this overwhelmed feeling!

Pics to follow xx

Congrats sweetie! Sounds like you've got a wonderful baby there. Hang in there with all the emotions and anxiousness. Our bodies go through so much with pregnancy and delivery.

Congrats!
Please try not to panic.. sounds like you have had a traumatic few days and the weepies and anxious feelings are very normal after childbirth.

Am sure it will pass in a few days, just take as much help as you can and try to take it a day (or an hour!) at a time.:flower:

Congratulations! It's only natural to feel overwhelmed and panicky, I was the same, but it does pass :hugs:

It's normal to feel ike that, just keep talking to people about your feelings and don't hide them, it doesn't make you less of a mummy.
Congratulations!! X

Congratulations. Love the name. It will be your hormones, I couldn't stop crying. If it doesn't pass seek help xxx

Congratulations! Don't feel bad for having the baby blues, I hope you'll soon feel better!

Congratulations - I'm glad your LO is okay :hugs:. It's perfectly okay to feel this way, just be sure to talk about how you're feeling and have a chat with the midwife/HV if it doesn't pass :hugs:

Congratulations!!! Great choice of name BTW ;) very rare to meet another Ellis!

Hope you're feeling better xxx
