DD is a month old and is mix-fed (bottles only because she couldn't care less about the breast, just to slow and she has no patience:haha:)

I'm using Medela bottles with fast flow gerber nipples because slow-flow are obviously too slow for her. She drinks more milk/formula this way, but she gets really gassy, and she's in pain. Her face becomes all red and she cries a little after feedings (although at night she seems ok). I don't think it's the formula because she's been on it since she was 2 weeks old and still has gas when there's only breastmilk in the bottle. I've heard good things about Dr Brown bottles for gassy babies, even though they're a pain to wash. Anyone tried them?

Ive used dr brown bottles for about 6 months now and they have been great but yes a bit of extra washing but worth the hastle! I also use Avent anti colic which are very similar and also have been great x

I bought some yesterday, and she likes them! I use level 2 nipples because she hates it when it's too slow, and she just gets fed up before she's actually full. So far it seems to do the trick:thumbup: She still has gas between the feedings, but she's had some pretty much since she was born. But no after-feeding fussiness, red face or crying. She's also a lot easier to burp. Hoping it will stay that way!

If those don't work we use drop-ins and they're great!

Have you tried mylicon? Put a few drops in her bottle and it should help. It's also safe enough to use every feeding. We used it on my LO until just about a month ago.

I used Dr. Browns with our first child, and now with our third. They work great for our kiddos. I use Mylicon as well, as someone else mentioned. You can put a few drops in the bottle, or just give it to baby directly. I always give it to our son, and then immediately give him his binker. That way, it all get swallowed and not spit out.
