Hello all yummy mummies :)

Am using an AVENT steam steriliser and wanted to see how long before you sterilise you wash the bottles etc up?

Finding myself washing the bottles up at 9 - 10pm each night and was wondering if you can wash the bottles etc up earlier in the day?

Can't remember what I did when I had my son 5 years ago!!

Many thanks :)

I use Tommee Tippee bottles and I wash and sterilise all in one go. Normally after I put Ethan to bed I'll wash all six, then boil the kettle and let that cool. Load the steriliser and once they're ready I'll take them all out and fill the water to 5oz (currently Ethan is on 6oz bottles) and pop them all in the fridge. Thats them all done for the midnight feed and all the next days. When I need one, I'll take it out of the fridge and add 1oz of boiling water and powder and it's at just the right temp!

I've probably gone totally off subject, lol. But I think the main answer is I just wash them all in one go and then they go straight into the steriliser!

^WSS

I do mine after LO is in bed too (though sometimes my motivation slips and it's more like 9pm )

I wash each botle after use and put them in the cupboard ready for when I want to sterilize a batch.

i wash & rinse and then put them in an empty bowl until i sterilise them at night..x

I wash them in the evening, and I put them in the cupboard until I need them, then I'll sterilise.

I have my bottle routine whilst hubby puts baby to bed - wash, sterilize, make up and refrigerate all in one go.

I wash the bottles all in one go after I've done the washing up when LO is in bed, then air dry them on kitchen towel on the side. I leave them to dry on the side, then pick them up and sterilise one at a time as I need them.
Edit: I rinse out each bottle after use though.

I wash, steralise and make up all in one go, it just seems easier for me that way, but does tend to be after abi's bedtime when I really want to go to bed myself

i rinse them out and put them in the dishwasher as i go

I let mine soak in water after I use them, then wash usually 3 at a time, depending on how busy I am! Then sterilise and make up all in one go, always in the morning when he's taking a nap. I used to do them at night, but just wanted to get into bed!!

If I get the time, i wash during the day and leave them on the drying rack, or put them straight into the steriliser (but don't turn it on). Otherwise they all wait until around 6 or 7 pm, then I wash and sterilise and get everything ready for overnight and the next day.
