Bottom rash after diarrhea

My DD recently had diarrhea and the skin around her bottom has gone very red and dry. What cream is best to use for her? She's not complaining but it looks very dry. She recently moved from wet wipes to toilet roll at nursery too so could this be adding to the problem. I don't feel like she's cleaning properly with loo roll and feel its a bit rough on her bottom? Xx
