bowel movement question

How long after a csection did it take to actually poop? Mine was wednesday and I haven't had a bowel movement yet plenty of gas pressure and a bit of gas, but no actual movement. The doctors didn't tell me anything. I've just started being able to partially feel those muscles again but I'm scared to actually push to poop.

For me it was 4-5 days but I was only allowed out of bed on the 4th day so that might have been a factor. I took the softeners. I also had terrible gas. In fact, the gas pain was worse than the c-section Don't be afraid, it didn't phase me when I went, the relief was awesome. If you are scared, you can press something against your wound but I didn't need it. Just take it slow and do take the softeners. Wishing you a smooth and speedy recovery!
