I love Wilson, but rhymes with surname...
Philip is too plain for me.

I think Wilson Philip and Landon Thomas complement each other very nicely!

I love Philip! I prefer it as a first name to Wilson. There's a Wilson in my Sons classed so it is used as a first name, he suits it too

My first thought was the girl group Wilson Phillips and so for that reason it puts me off.

I, too, immediately thought of the music group. But, it's U.S. 90's adult contemporary, and I'm sure the group will continue to age fast. I really wouldn't worry about that association when you name your son. Besides, he'll be known by Wilson anyway, which has other aging pop-culture references (Tom Hank's volleyball, and Tim Allen's neighbor in... what was that show? Home Improvement. See, memory is already fading.)
