LOL well it turns out we're on team blue and we are stuck on boys names (girls no probs!)

Wewant something that is good for kids....so something that can be shortened and is kinda cute but as they get older they can use the proper version if they want.

Some names just dont seem to suit grown ups iykwim?

So far the only one we can come up with that we don't hate is Stanley, although I'm quite partial to Nate.

Any ideas..?

Frankie
Alfie
Archie
Charlie
William (Billy)
Tom (Tommy)
Freddie
Joseph (Joe)
Love all these old fashioned names that can be shortened. xx

I'd add:
Daniel (Danny)

I do love Nate too.

I'm a Charlotte and people call me Charlie so that ones out...LOL

If we had Tom it'd be the Welsh spelling Tomos...and I think oH dismissed it.

Hmmm thanks for the ideas though...come on ladies need more ideas!

I love my son's name: Gabriel... he can be called Gabe when younger, or older and than Gabriel if he wants to be professional. My other son is Christian but he doesn't have a nickname yet, but could go with Chris. :D

harry! its a classic and sounds so cute, but dead grown up too! thats what i had picked out thinkingwe were having a boy!

I like:

Alex / Alexander
Bray / Brayden
Chris / Christopher
Harri / Harrison
Mikey / Michael
Nicci / Nicolas
Oli / Oliver
Patty / Patrick
Ricky / Richard
Sammy / Samuel
Billy / William
Zach / Zachary

Joshua? That was my team blue name :)

Nicky / Nick / Nicholas
Chris / Christopher
Joey / Joseph
Marky / Mark / Marcus
Alex / Alexander
Matty / Matt / Mathew

I think we're converging on Stanley/Stan/Lee...what do you think...?

I like daniel, danny as a kid dan or daniel as a man
or
Matthew

I have an ex called david...not gonna happen LOL

I love Nate...
Nathan shortened to Nate is so lovely, and can easily be used for a young boy straight into adulthood.

See I think Nate is awesome I only thought of it after OH was talking about a band called Converge and one of the guys is called Nate....but it turns out we know someone (well we now them primarily online and we've met them once or twice) and their kid is called Nate so Oh doesnt want to copy.

Hmmm I never thought of shortening Nathan to Nate...perhaps I could swing it to him that way...

My son's called joshua-lee, so he gets joshy, josh & joshua :) Love it still now :) x
