hi girls, advice would be really appreciated. i had loads of girls names picked out but since we are having a boy they are useless! so now we are struggling with boys names. please could you give me your opinion on these names, or suggest any others! we are wanting something a little different but not so much that he gets picked on! anyway, here goes:

Riley (not sure if riley is getting too common now and have seen some girl rileys so not sure about that either!)
Rylan
Ryder (boyfriend always sings that "rider on the storm" song when i suggest this but i like it!)
Nathan (tho boyf doesnt like it!)
Caiden
Kydan (thought of this just now and really like it, although should imagine it would be shortened to kai which is colleens rooneys babies name so am thinking that will be popular soon too?)
Rhys (love this too but boyf not so sure)
Jayden (is this a bit girly?)
Keane (another one that boyf doesnt like so much - says it reminds him of roy keane?!)

thanks girls, look forwrd to your comments! xxxxx

Riley - I really like Riley, it was on our shortlist
Rylan - Not sure on it
Ryder - Love it!
Nathan - Not really
Caiden - Like it
Kydan - As you said Kai is gonna be really popular, but I do like it
Rhys - Dont really like it
Jayden - Like it, again v. popular
Keane - Not too sure

Theres my opinions  I like Riley and Ryder best :)

xx

I like Rylan and Jayden. I know a guy who's name is Jayden and I thought he's name is pretty.

I love Riley and work in Nurserys doing bank work and have only come across one Riley so far!! I like Ellis for a boy but it doesn't go with our surname x Good luck choosing I too found boys names really hard x

I love Jayden, it's my little boys name! It is kinda pretty sounding but I think it's a strong name (Not bias at all ;)) I like Riley too! xx

Riley - LOve the name but for a little girl
Rylan - Not sure on this one
Ryder - love the name but its becoming quite common
Nathan - like the name but usaully get nicknames Nat or Nath
Caiden - Not sure
Kydan - not sure
Rhys - love the name but very common
Jayden - love the name but very common
Keane - Not sure

We're on the same boat! Struggling with a boys name, want somethin different but not too different - Rhys and Jayden are on our short list but just not sure!

Whats the surname gonna be?

you girls are so helpful! dont know what i would do without you! thanks ladies xxx

can i suggest 2 names?

Hadyn (or can be spelt hayden) - my sons name and we always get loads of compliments
and i LOVE Finlay (Finn for short)

just some thoughts that seemed to be along the same lines as what you had chosen xx

thanks for those - you are def on the same wavelength as me coz i love both of those too but other half knew a hayden that he didnt like and cant get him out of his mind and my best friend called her son finley so cant have that either! aagghh!!! xxx

My 7yr old boy is called Riley, was not very common then but know a few more now.
We have girls names and like you really struggling for boys name, being team yellow we have made it harder i think.

Riley - Has become EXTREMELY popular! I know two people who've named their sons Riley and Rylee and I hear more and more naming their sons and now daughters Riley.

Rylan - A nice alternative to Riley

Ryder - NEVER heard anyone else with this name or named their son this except for the actor Ryder Strong (from Boy Meets World lol) So I like it.

Nathan - Too common. Don't personally care for it myself. I had a friend in HS who had a brother named Nathan and I couldn't stand him so I guess I'm a little biased there lol I always like Nathaniel better.

Caiden - Like it, seems like its getting popular.

Kydan - Don't care for it, a little too different for me personally (I like Kai though).

Rhys - I've always heard of Rhys (Reese) as a boys name. I like this spelling better.

Jayden - WAY TOO COMMON. Like Riley it's very over used for both boys and girls. I have a friend who's son is Jayden and a friend who's daughter is Jayden and hear more and more people naming their kids that.

Keane - Don't know if I care for it myself. Again a little too different for my personal taste.

I LOVE alot of your name choices! My son's name is Jayden -- i def think it sounds like a boy's name, although i know it's unisex. I also LOVE Caiden, which was on my short list too... & like Riley, Rylan, & Reese (prefer this spelling).

Jayden, Riley, & Reese are all becoming very popular right now -- i'd say go for Rylan or Caiden if you want something a bit more unique!

Some other name suggestions--

Braedyn
Zaylen
Zander
Landon
Logan
Greyson
Carson
Gavin
Evan
Carter
Dalton

Riley:Lovely name
Rylan don't know havent heard it before. is it like dylan , or more live above name?
Ryder could be nice :) cute name
Nathan I like it :)
Caiden Also nice name, probaby would have dfferent spelling.
Kydan , Havent heard this one either, sounds interesting tho
Rhys Love it too :)
JaydenAlso nice name, not girly at all
Keane Nice name :)

I <3333 Rylan. I want to incorporate that one somehow into my planning. I am planning to name my 2nd boy Jayden. My 1st boy (if I ever get preggo to start with) will be Chasen. You can use that one if you want to...I won't mind. :) I also like Connor and Carter. Our last name is Cooper, so I've been stuck on C names. lol. Congratulations to you and good luck!

Instead of Keane, how about Kaine?

I absolutley love that name but OH said no!!

Ryder is nice, but I think it could cause of other little boys taking the mick at school. I also love Hunter but OH said we can't go for that either!! I think Hunter Hilton sounds nice but he just laughs!!! Sounds like we're going to Hunt-a-Hilton!!

Men are soo difficult.

i like

Riley
Rylan
Nathan
Rhys spelt Reece

Riley - I know about 5 little girls with the name Riley/Ryleigh...seems to becoming very popular for girls. don't want to risk being teased with a unisex name.
Rylan - Ok but for whatever reason reminds me of an old man.
Ryder - Not sure, reminds me of someone that rides on something. Or an insurance policy (riders)
Nathan - Nice!
Caiden - Nice! Cayden is a nice way to spell it. Caiden seems more feminine
Kydan - Odd
Rhys - NO! Not even sure how to pronounce this...why risk him being teased and spending the rest of his life correcting his name being mispronounced?
Jayden - I like this. I've seen it as a girls name but seems much more popular with boys.
Keane - Don't like. Another one that I wouldn't know how to pronounce (like "Keen"?) Not a fan of out there names.

So I like Jayden, Cayden, Nathan

:)
