I noticed something the other day. For about 15 minute all together over the day I had this tight sensation in my belly. Not my whole belly, just where my uterus is. It didn't hurt, it was just really noticeable. I couldn't even stand up straight when I was doing the dishes!
From my experience with my first pregnancy, it honestly felt like contractions, only without the pain? It just seems too early to me? My milk has been in for about a month now too and is no longer deep yellow and watery. It's now proper milk. In the back of my mind, I'm stressing. I don't know if this is happening earlier because he will come soon, or what :(

For me it feels like a tight squeeze in my uterus and when I touch my belly it's hard, then when the squeezing stops it is soft again. Started around 16 weeks for me.

BH can start as early as 12w but unlikely to start feeling them until into 20w but again everyone is different.

BH can be a pain for some women because they do become a regular thing. With my first baby i got loads, they did get painful and did start coming in a pattern but i still went overdue. I could tell differance when real contractions hit.

BH started at around 16 weeks for me last time. As long as they're not coming too frequently (more than 5 or 6 in an hour) then it's normal :)

I didn't have bh when pregnant with my first but have been getting them this week I think. In fact I think I just had one. My lower tummy went really hard and I could feel like a dull ache there and slightly in my back. Really strange because I'm sure I didn't have them at all with my daughter or at least I never noticed them.

I'm FTM with twins. I went for a short walk yesterday (about 30 mins) then on to the library. When I came home I had to have a nap I was so exhausted. My bump seemed to have expanded so much and hurt but more like stretching pains, not really cramps. It was also rock solid all over right from my boobs to my pelvic area. This was very unusual for me.
Feeling fine today apart from tired but no cramps or hardness in tummy apart from usual.
Because this is my first pregnancy could it be BH. I'll be 25w pregnant tomorrow.

I'm so glad you posted this! I am dealing with the same thing but am only 18 weeks  I started noticing the tightenings yesterday and was really surprised as I didn't have any until third trimester my last pregnancy. I say, make sure you're drinking lots of water and if you feel you've been too active rest a little and put your feet up

I've been feeling something similar but it only lasts for 10-20 seconds so I assumed it was him moving lengthwise/flipping. When I feel the tightness I can poke around and feel something hard...his head, I think. Never had it last that long, though.

Mine started at 18 weeks. A couple weeks ago I had dozens during the course of a day. I went into labor and delivery at the suggestion of my nurse, and because I had A LOT of discharge and some reduced movement at 24 weeks. They observed for seven hours and they just said they were BH and while they were surprisingly frequent everything looked good. My cervix was still completely closed and it wasn't stressing baby at all. As soon as they strapped on the monitors he started kicking like crazy (of course). I have at least 20 BH contractions a day and the doctor said as long as there is no pattern and they aren't "painful" or getting close together, not to worry. Yesterday I counted about 35. Some women have a lot early on and some don't have any until the last weeks. If you have any other "labor" symptoms though, go in and get checked out. Also, mine aren't related to dehydration or activity. I just have a really active, irritable uterus.
