Hi ladies,

Had my LO by emergency section last Sunday, and he's a total dream :) have been breastfeeding almost totally exclusively, but am finding the night time feeding really hard. I don't know if it's lying down in bed, but sitting up again to get him out his moses basket/feed him is total agony. Have been taking my painkillers just before bed and throughout the night, and get up properly (not using my tummy muscles etc) but ouch! I don't seem to have this problem during the day, I'm sore but it's manageable. Anyone else have this problem?

I did in the beginning so I had the crib next to OH for the first 3 weeks and he'd help me up and pass LO to me to feed. x

I didn't first time, but second I hurt much more when moving at first. what about a support belt? Just bought one of these for my section in 11 days, hoping it will help.

I did with my 1st c-section, but maybe a support belt can help easy some of the pain.

I had this too but it helped to have OH pass baby to me in bed.

I had this with my son. That first night was the worst because it didn't even occur to me that it would be hard to get out of bed! Oops. After that I started sleeping in more of a sitting position. It wasn't easy to sleep like that, but made the pain much more manageable when it was time to get up to feed the baby.

I ad a section yesterday and the tummy isn't causing any issues for breastfeeding :)
