LO is 2.5 weeks and has gone from feeding for 40/50 mins to somewhere between 20-25 mins...is this the norm? he has plenty wet/dirty nappies and is putting on weight so I'd hate for these reduced feeding times to set us backwards...

As babies grow they get more and more efficient and feeding that lovely hind milk.

His mouth will be getting used to feeding and his muscles stronger.

By 8weeks my LO could full feed in 10mins, and 12 weeks was down to 5-6mins!!

Are you offering again after your burp her? If you are offering again and he doesn't seem interested then I think it is totally fine. As pp said, they become more efficient eaters as they age. Well, that's what "they" say, anyway. My DD just keeps feeding for longer and longer. :(

My lo has only ever fed for 8mins max! He's 4 months now n has about 3 mins on one n 2 on the other haha! It all depends on it lo and it flow! He may have been suckling to increase it supply or for comfort and now doesn't need to!
As long as he's gaining and ur getting the wet nappies ur fine!
