Hi Ladies:

I'm scheduled for a c section in about two weeks. I know my doc won't do anymore ultrasounds. My baby is breech and has been since 20 weeks.

Just wondering ..

1) is a c sec more risky if I have an anterior placenta?

2) will the cancel the c section if he turns or will I have a choice?

Thanks in advance! :winkwink::winkwink:

Not sure about the answer to question no.1. I personally would think there is a bit more risk though.

They will scan you on the morning to check baby is still breech. If baby has turned they will send you home to labour naturally,they will not do a major opp for no reason. This is what I was told x

I was due to have a section because baby was breech. Was scanned on the morning to find out he had turned and was head down. I was given the option to go ahead with the section or go home and wait it out. My initial reaction was to go ahead with the section, but I was persuaded (by nurses and my husband) to go home. But I still would have been allowed a section if I'd stuck to my guns and not been talked out of it. I ended up having a section anyway 3 weeks later because he was a stubborn boy and wouldn't come out by himself.

Agree with the previous posters - if your baby has turned you will be allowed to wait for labour to start naturally.

I'm not sure about question 1, sorry.
