At 36 weeks midwife put 'at Brim' in my notes and now at 38 weeks just 'Brim'.

I forgot to ask today (they moved my midwife to the second floor with no lift, it took me nearly all the appointment to be able to breath again!), so I've been silly and googled. So Google is saying in some cases not at all engaged and some saying it is.

Am hoping you ladies can shed some light in this for me, as I have no memory from last time of anything but fractions like 2/5 being written down in my notes.

It just means the head is at the brim of your pelvis so not engaged.

My midwife used to tell me that it meant the head is slightly in the pelvis.

It seems all midwives use different terms.

Thanks Raspberryk. I couldn't find anything like that to explain :)
